So we were flipping through D Wedding Magazine and one of the hot new dress styles looked very similar to one of our stunning 2010 Mori Lee gowns we just got in the shop. (<----To your left!)

Compared to our Mori Lee gown it has very similar pleat design & cross strapping against the midsection of the dress for about 9 times less money.

FINDING THE PROVI GIRL of 2010

The PROVI GIRL of 2010 Contest

...is Launching in January. If you are a junior or senior in high-school and have a flare or desire for modeling this might be the gig for you!

We will be having an open casting call in January- Date to be announced. We will be looking for the Provi Face of 2010! Have your head shots done here at Providence Place during casting by Elizabeth Stanley Photography and be in competition with other Juniors and Seniors around town. The top girls will be modeling our wedding gowns & special occasion dresses at the 2010 Bridal Fair in Rockwall, Texas on February 28th at the Hilton Bella Harbor.

A voting for the Provi Girl of 2010 will take place on-line & the winner will be announced at the Bridal Fair. The winner gets some great perks & prizes which we will tell you more about in January. Wedding Invitation Tip

Wedding invitations and stationary can be an expensive investment. Shopping online can help to curb some of the sting, but the drawback is that you can't touch and feel the invitation and its counterparts like you can in the store. Most, if not all, online invitation companies provide invitation samples. For about $1 and possibly a small mailing fee, the invitation company sends out a sample for you to touch and feel in the comfort of your own home. It's worth the couple of bucks to make sure it's the right invitation before you place your order. It can save you from hating the invitations when they come in and having to replace a whole new order.

Congratulations to Hanna Doan who found her dream dress last night in her bridal gown fitting! She looked heavenly and even brought tears to our eyes as she donned a gorgeous Casablanca gown!  We loved having you Hanna! See you at the final fitting!

It's Engagement Time!

It's that time of year again!  Everyone is in love and all of those grooms are getting down on one knee to pop the question.  Of course, first thing to do is call and tell everyone.  Second, the Dress.  Providence Place has a wide selection of gowns to choose from including the Casablanca line. Wedding Gown PhotoShoot

Today at Provi Place we had Shutterspire www.shutterspire.com photographing all of the Providence Place Dresses, including the Purely Providential Line, Casablanca, Mori Lee, Alyce Designs & more. There will be a fashion show for His & Hers Bridal wear on January 10th, 2010 and Provi Place dresses are being freatured. Today was the open casting call for the Runway Show.

There were about 35 models today being photographed in yards of luxurious white fabrics. About 10 makeup artists and hair dressers in the parlor room glamming the girls up for their photoshoot. There were parents & friends onlooking the event. Appetizers, cheese & fruit trays, & sodas in the kitchen.

One girl after the other being fitted and prepped for their gowns. Unique Veils from Laura Williams Designs & Tiaras adorned their hair. Custom jewelry from our very own Kaye Ridings jewelry dangled from their ears and necks.

There was a look and style for each girl from all ethnicities & size. They all looked gorgeous. I saw lot of the models eyeing the ones they had on ;)
