I don't know what it is, but I love love love long beautiful lashes! I ran across one of my girlfriends who had the most beautiful long lashes I've ever seen. She gave me a name and number of a salon that provides lash extensions. I called that day and asked to get an appointment ASAP. The process took about an hour, and after leaving, I had long luscious lashes. Well, those long spider leg lashes got quite the attention. Everyone kept asking me what mascara I was using. After about two weeks, I would head back to the salon for "lash fills" which didn't take as long. Though I loved those lashes, it can be expensive and frankly a little time consuming. Last year I was visiting my dermatologist and in walks Carol the nurse with these long fab lashes. I of course had to know, and found that she has been using Latisse, which is a prescription eye lash medicine that acts like Rogaine for your eye lashes! You know the commercials with Brooke Shields fluttering her eyes with long lashes saying she got those lashes from Latisse. Carol made sure I left with a prescription and gave me great advice, don't use the brushes that comes with Latisse, they are really big and you will use up your Latisse really fast. Use a small thin brush, like the one when you apply liquid eye liner. The prescription cost about $100.00, but with Carol's advice Latisse last about three months. Every night I apply the Latisse before going to bed. It took about six weeks before I noticed a difference. Also, the prescription warned that it could change the color of your eyes and make them darker. Well, I've been using it for about six months and haven't noticed any changes. I even asked my eye doctor if it was ok to use the product, and he said it was fine. My lashes are now fairly long and I still use a eye lash curler and mascara and they look amazing! Now, about mascara, there are so many on the market, I would love to know which one is your favorite....
